1.      Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Gaelic Language (Scotland) Act 2005 (Consequential Modifications) Order 2006 and shall come into force on 31st March 2006.

2.      Broadcasting Act 1990

(1)    Section 183A of the Broadcasting Act 1990 (membership of the Gaelic Media Service)[2] is amended as follows.

(2)    In subsection (5)(c), for "Bòrd Gàidhlig na h-Alba (the Gaelic Development Agency)" substitute "Bòrd na Gàidhlig".

(3)    In subsection (9), for the definition of "Bòrd Gàidhlig na h-Alba" substitute–

" "Bòrd na Gàidhlig"means the body of that name established by section 1 of the Gaelic Language (Scotland) Act 2005[3]".

(4)    Omit subsections (10) and (11).
